This is the first time I've used this gold mirror in a still life. It seemed like it would be a difficult thing to paint, but it turned out to be the most enjoyable part. The darkish section in the bottom left of the reflection is my knees!

This is a very elegant piece. I like the suggested details of the ornate frame, and the way the scene is cropped.
I haven't visited for a while. I was so pleased to see your new work since February and hear about your news. Congratulations on the expecting baby! I too am expecting! Im 13 weeks along. Its nice to know there is another artist out there in the same place as I am.
