Green Couch

It's 95 degrees outside today, but inside it's shady and cool. I love the peace and quiet of long afternoons of painting. Brilliant green leaves shimmering outside the window, a good NPR podcast to listen to, a cat curled up in a patch of sunlight...what more could I ask for?

I like this painting a lot. Great composition.

By the way, and you may want to edit this out, I have suddenly had a big surge in the number of viewers coming to my blog and I am attributing at least some of it to you! I noticed that at least two visitors came to me from your blog. When I went to your blog I found you had listed me as one of the few artists you suggest others look at. Thank you! I have returned the favor. It is something I have considered doing for a while, but never followed through until now. One of the visitors came from France via your blog site in French! I'm impressed. I have been to your blog a couple of time since you left a comment for me and have admired your work. Barbara Pence

I really like this painting. You've captured a lovely subtle light here and I especially enjoy the transition between the throw on the couch arm and the distant plants. Good stuff.
