It's been a while since I painted on a smooth gessoed panel, and not on canvas. I've gotten really comfortable with canvas over the past year, but there's nothing like an ultra-smooth surface for capturing the texture of glass and metal objects.

Wow, brass and glass, great combination. I was happy to see you back posting this new year. My little guy is just over 4 months and my older one is 4 years old, they are giving me a run for my money! I too hope to be back painting soon in my new studio. You are an inspiration.
