I have officially started using black paint. I'm not sure where I picked up the idea that black paint was the devil - probably art school - but lately I've read several people's accounts of using it in place of blue in a limited palette, and that made me see it differently. I'm not throwing out my French Ultramarine just yet, but I have started using small amounts of black strategically. Can you spot the black in this painting?

Yep. Black is a great color when used properly. Would not think of not using it. Great use of the blues on this painting
