Sunset Roses

11 x 14"
oil on canvas
Sold

In trying to come up with a word to describe the color of these roses, I rejected coral, shrimp, and plain old yellow-orange. So, I admit it, I googled it for inspiration - and don't you agree, they're the color of a Florida sunset?

Hi Sarah,

I feel that this rose should have a name like Blushed Lemon Sorbet.

It is gorgeous and I'm glad it has reimerged from the woodwork, it is far too beautiful not to paint and I especially love your interpretation of it in this painting

Sincerely,

Leslie V.
