Below is a work-in-progress shot of this one. You can see that I try to sketch in my lightest areas first, to keep them clean, but I do need to establish my darkest darks early on, too, to keep everything in perspective.

Beautifully done- love seeing your sketch in and what your darkest dark was- rather the value of that. Really love the bit of light shining back through on the back wall.
The quality of light that you have achieved in this painting is so nice...love the translucent grapes. I appreciated seeing the sketch of the painting and how you begin....very informative.
